The Pros: copper tones for long locks
At Jean Louis David this season, copper hues are the must-have color for Autumn-Winter 2015. Worn with short locks to promote the collection, women with long lengths can also give this fiery shade a go. Want to know more?
This year, we decided to style our models with short hair, however there’s no reason why girls with long hair should shy away from this look. “Copper tends to make a comeback every three or four seasons. This season’s runway shows opted for bright orange shades, so we decided to make this bold color an integral part of our collection. Our copper colors are therefore rich in pigments to replicate the catwalk look”.
In the photo, our model is wearing a muted shade of copper. “Whichever tone of copper you’re going for, you can count on the Jean Louis David stylists to give you the perfect color in the salon. You must, however, have a fairly light base color. Your stylist may decide to use more than one shade of copper throughout your hair for more definition, but this all depends on your existing color”.
Here, the model’s hairstyle isn’t very structured at all. “Her lengths are long, layered and lightweight…a great look for a feminine feel. What really makes her hair color pop is her contrasting green jacket. The two colors are polar opposites, meaning her copper shade looks bold, vibrant and instantly more noticeable”.
Our advice: If your hair is long like our model’s, you may be finding it difficult to look after your locks. Make sure your ends and mid-lengths are healthy, trimming away any split ends. To keep your new color looking vibrant, swap your regular shampoo for the Colour Therapy range.
