Hair colouring
Rita’s most radical hairstyle change...
“I’m not usually one to follow all the latest trends, but when the celebs started wearing funky colours in their hair, I must admit that I fell in love straight away! Even though the result can sometimes leave much to be desired, I soon decided to give it a go.
The aim was to add a bit of colour to my blonde hair without it looking a mess. One of the good things about working in a creative profession is that I can try out wacky looks and hairstyles without much trouble. Lawyers and bankers don’t have that luxury!
Pink, blue, purple… I had to choose a colour! I found pink too girly and too common. So I went for blue to stand out, but also to contrast with my naturally fair hair. I then had to decide whether or not to colour my whole hair blue: I decided that a few simple pieces would do the trick!
I then went to my hair salon where I chose a temporary colour. I want to have the option of turning my hair back to a more “sensible” colour should I need or want to. But for now, I love showing off my new bright blue!”
