Short haircuts for the new season
Autumn-winter 2013-2014 looks set to be all about short hair. The trend is everywhere: on the catwalks, in magazines and on the high street. Here’s a look at the short haircuts to go for over the coming months.
Up until now, the trend has been long. This season, however, looks are changing and hair trends are being reversed. “This is happening everywhere: brands are using girls with short hair and more and more women are asking for short haircuts at the hairdresser’s.”
To be able to match your haircut with your moods, go for a cut that keeps a bit of length. “This will allow you to change your haircut to suit your changing moods. Think bowl cuts, disciplined or body-boosted on top. And don’t forget layers to increase your styling possibilities.”
Bobs also work well short. “After a one-length cut? To stay in keeping with the trends, go for one that reaches your ears, and ask for layers. Different length sections will allow you to vary your hairstyles every day.”
Our tip: when choosing your short haircut, of course consider the trends, but also your tastes and your hair type. “Short haircuts work on everyone, as long as they are chosen to suit the hair type. Ask your hairdresser for guidance.”
