Which hair colouring shade goes with blue eyes?
Whether you go for a blonde, red or brown colouring treatment, find the perfect shade to enhance both your eye colour and complexion!
Golden blond or copper to enhance pale complexions
To make your blue eyes pop and to warm up your complexion, go for a sun-kissed blond with a honey colouring which will make you glow. Alternatively, go for strawberry blond with copper tones verging on red. These warm tones will make your blue eyes sparkle whilst giving you a healthy glow! In addition, they have the advantage of perfectly complementing your pale skin tone to give you a very natural-looking colour. For a personalised shade without risk of getting it wrong, have a salon treatment.
Don’t. Forget that platinum blonde, despite looking beautiful, can drain your complexion and make your eyes look dull.
A light or dark chestnut brown for a harmonious result
Do you have a pale complexion but would prefer to be brunette ? Your colourist will advise you to go for a soft light chestnut shade whose warm highlights will make your blue eyes stand out just as much. If you have a dark complexion, they will steer you more towards darker shades such as a chocolate, light brown or mocha. These indulgent tones will enhance your blue eyes and will give them a mysterious, highly seductive edge to boot.
Don’t. Go for black hair colouring, as this overly radical colour may drain the blue from your eyes.
From auburn to mahogany to awaken dark complexions
If your skin is dark, preferably opt for stronger colours which will flatter blue eyes whilst boosting your complexion. As a result, brave auburn tones, an unusual burgundy shade or the dark red highlights of a mahogany hair colouring which will give you character.
Do you love their flamboyant side but have a pale complexion? Swap the highlights of your strawberry blond for a brighter Irish red which will warm up your pale complexion.
Don’t. Consider dyeing your hair more than two tones darker. The result will not look at all natural.
