Three techniques to create wavy hair

An incredibly summery style, wavy hair is making a name for itself this year as a hair must-have. These waves are perfect for anyone looking for a natural, boho style, ideal in summer. To create your wavy style, simply choose the technique you prefer below!

With curling tongs. This is the easiest and quickest technique. Once your hair has been washed and dried, with your head upside down, roll fairly wide sections of hair around your hot curling tongs. They should be fairly wide-barrelled in order to create well-defined, bouncy curls. Roll the lengths but not the ends around the tongs for natural-looking waves. Fix with hairspray.

With velcro rollers. This technique offers a guaranteed long-lasting effect. If you choose this method, opt for thin-barrelled rollers and use thin sections. Roll sections of hair around the rollers vertically. Spray a fixing spray and leave to dry for 1-2 hours for a perfect result. Before removing the rollers, dry once again with a hairdryer then unroll them. Run your fingers through your hair for perfect, natural-looking waves.

With hair pins. This is the technique that studio stylists use and takes a fair amount of time! With this technique, hair pins are used instead of curling tongs. Take a hair pin, twist it and tighten it around a thin section of hair. Now heat with straighteners for optimum results. Repeat this throughout your hair for a perfect wavy style. Use hairspray across the style for a flawless hold.
