Some stylists are no-nonsense when it comes to attention to detail. At Gianfranco Ferré, looks are sleek, structured and geometrical. And the same goes for hair and make-up. Here’s a closer look at this futuristic, graphic parting.
 
The graphic trend. Wavy hair and tousled chignons aren’t the only hairstyles to choose from this summer season. On the catwalks at this year’s spring-summer shows, it was slick, structured and graphic styles aplenty. So, just because the summer sun eases our minds, that’s no excuse to stop treating our hair to the style it deserves!
 
How to create the graphic parting. First of all, hair is straightened and frizz tamed so that flyaway hair doesn’t spoil this perfectly structured style. Before you tie your hair up, create two partings across the top of your head. To do this, take a comb then create two diagonal partings using the front centre of your hairline as a starting point. Carefully slick down the hair on either side of your partings then concentrate on the central area. Gently backcomb this section to give it a subtle hint of volume to contrast with the other sections of your hair. Then, tie it all into a low ponytail. To give your hair this wonderful shine, apply gel sparingly to dry hair.
