How to manage big hair
Women with big hair can often be divided into two categories: those who like volume and try to make the most of it, and those who hate it and try to tame it. Luckily there are haircuts for both categories!
Women with big hair mostly tend to have flexible hair. “Most women who moan about the volume of their hair often have curly hair and frizz. Others simply have lots of hair or hair growth that results in volume. Women with at least one of these characteristics have hair that has a tendency to get bigger.”
The cut you choose will depend on whether or not you want to embrace your hair’s volume. “Some people like to tame the volume while others prefer to accentuate it. Those who want to accentuate it should have layers cut into their hair. More layers equals more volume. However, those who want to avoid too much volume can choose to blow-dry and straighten their hair regularly. Jean Louis David’s exclusive Relax treatment helps to temporarily reduce volume. This means you spend less time styling your hair in the morning. If you have voluminous hair, you will choose your haircut depending on whether you love or hate your hair as it is!”
Our tip: even if you don’t like having big hair, avoid using products and treatments that will change your hair type. The more permanent the product or treatment, the more it will alter and damage your hair.
