How to make your hair look thicker
If you want to make your hair look thicker, there are a few things you need to know. Colouring, styling products and even extensions, discover these small things that can make all the difference!
Generally, styling products add texture to the hair. For example, styling mousse. If you choose one that isn’t too hard, this is a great product for thickening the hair, as are powders. “They leave your hair slightly matte but are really effective for adding texture.”
Colour is also a good way of making your hair look thicker. Even temporary colour, such as Gloss at Jean Louis David. “All-over colour or highlights are also a good option. Hair looks fuller and therefore has more texture.” Henna also has this same benefit.
To thicken your hair once and for all, consider extensions! These are quite an investment but the result is incredible. “Extensions really do the trick, as long as you start with a certain amount of thickness. This won’t work for very fine hair. Extensions are held in place with glue, so if you don’t have enough hair to hide it, the result won’t be very attractive.” Otherwise, go for it!
Our tip: The same goes for all hair types: avoid too many layers. You don’t need to have a full, uniform cut, but layering your hair won’t help you get your hair looking thicker. The more layers you have, the thinner your hair will look.
