Hair colours for autumn-winter 2013

With each new season comes a whole load of new treats for hair. This autumn-winter, understated colours are having their say, and these trends could get addictive! Here’s a closer look.

Chocolate brown with highlights. This shade of brown is one of the easiest to wear day to day. The soft colour softens your features whatever your hairstyle. To get it just right, try this colour with a sunlight effect to add a bit of shine. The sunlight treatment adds subtle highlights on the top of the hair.

Red. Once again, red is one of the season’s key colour trends. This winter most of you will tend to go for brighter tones for a flamboyant red. But stick to something more mahogany rather than red.

The dip-dye revamped. After splashlights, a new dip-dye trend its on the rise: the reverse dip dye. The base colour is dark while the lower sections are deliberately accentuated. The lightening effect is gradual, to create a reverse dip-dye effect. In this version, the lengths are darker than the top sections.

Two-tone hair. This trend appeared on the scene last year and it shows no signs of going away. However, few women can pull off a hairstyle featuring two contrasting colours on a day to day basis. With this trend, the top of the hair is a lot lighter than the lengths to create a noticeable contrast. Not for the faint-hearted!
