"I've often fancied changing my hair colour. But the upkeep it requires always puts me off. Going to the hairdresser's to get your roots done takes time and costs money. And I rarely have both at the same time! But this doesn't mean I'll say no to colouring my hair all together. I just need to find the colour that suits me.

For a successful, custom result, I won't be trying it at home. I want a professional to take care of my hair to avoid any mishaps. Especially since it's my first time. When I go to the salon, I explain straight away that I want a bright colour that doesn't require too much upkeep!

To avoid the root effect, I'm thinking about the streak technique or the trendy dip-dye method. The dip-dye technique has really caught my eye. I find this colouring technique is modern and pretty, and it's easy to maintain. So I've decided to lighten my mid-lengths and ends for a trendy dip-dye effect. With this temporary colour I don't have to go to the salon every month to have my roots done. I just have to use products for coloured hair at home and visit my hairdresser every now and then to boost the highlights for a pretty colour. Just what I'm after!
