Finding the right hairstyle to head out to work every day can be a real dilemma each morning. Should you wear your locks loose or tied-up, and how should you style your hair? Read on to discover 3 simple and elegant hairstyle ideas for a busy working-girl.

The chignon. Taking direct inspiration from the styles spotted on the Celine runway (pictured), why bother spending hours choosing a sophisticated hairstyle? The chignon is the easiest look to create this effect. All hair lengths, except bob style, can wear a chignon, and what’s even better is that it will stay in place all day long without needing frequent touch-ups. To copy this look, gather all of your hair into a ponytail at the back of your head and secure with an hairband. It’s totally up to you when it comes to how high or low you want your bun to sit. Once you have created a ponytail, take a second hair tie to secure the hair wrapped around the base. Spray evenly all over with hairspray for a long-lasting hold.

The half-ponytail. This style is perfect for all hair lengths. Its sophisticated finish instantly opens up the wearer’s face, meaning your hair will not bother you throughout your working day. With this style, only the upper section of hair should be tied backwards away from the face. Take the strands from around your face and secure with a few bobby pins. Use hair gel to make sure this upper section stays in place and work this season’s wet-look effect simultaneously.

The low-slung ponytail. This is certainly the simplest style to create on our list! Although it can be considered dated and tired-looking, add a hint of personality and individuality to yours by opting for an interesting hair tie. To create the low-lying ponytail, there are a couple of different options; either create a parting, or sweep your hair backwards. Once you’ve decided which version to go for, simply gather your lengths at the base of the neck and secure with a hair tie!
