3 must-ask questions before making a radical color change
You’ve finally made up your mind: this spring is about major makeovers, starting with your hair color! Find out which questions you should be asking yourself before going for the plunge…
Is my hair in good shape? Your hair needs to be healthy and undamaged before opting for a drastic color change. If yours is damaged, fragile or even just dehydrated, you might want to think twice about your new color. The chemical process that your hair goes through in the dyeing process can further damage your locks. However, if your hair is healthy and strong to begin with, your color will appear shinier and last longer.
Can I wear this shade every day? Want to go from light brown to ice blonde? From chocolate brown to jet black? Or from vibrant red to auburn? No problem! Simply keep in mind that you should be choosing a shade that matches your complexion. And don’t even toy with the idea of dyeing your eyebrows! Finally, opt for a color that you’ll be able to wear in most everyday situations such as to work, meetings and going out with friends. This means you won’t get sick of your new shade after only a couple of days.
Am I prepared for the upkeep? Your new color will need plenty of TLC to keep it looking glossy. Specifically adapted haircare products are a must. Our top tip? Integrate products from the Color Therapy range into your everyday haircare routine. What’s more, make sure you head back to the salon every 3 months for a root touch-up and to boost your color to keep it fresh.
