Which highlights are on-trend this winter for chestnut hair shades?
Why not liven up your block-color chestnut shade this winter? Thanks to our pros’ top tips, discover which highlights are best for your rich brunette shade.
This season, a variety of brown shades will compliment your chestnut locks perfectly. ‘Chocolate, light brown and cool brown hues are ideal. Your stylist will select a few different possibilities for you to choose from, ranging from warm to cooler shades in order to get the best match with your natural hair color and complexion. Honey or caramel highlights are also a possibility. However, make sure you always select more natural highlights for winter’.
Strategically placed highlights are the best way to liven up your chestnut shade. ‘Brightening up your darker shade means lightening is a must. Keep in mind that you should be using a half-head of temporary highlights thanks to the Sunlight technique which is quick and easy as well as being reversible if things go wrong! The sunlight treatment is a great way to add volume to your style whilst boosting a flat base color’.
Our advice: Look after your fresh highlights with products from the Colour Therapy range to keep them nourished and hydrated. Finally, make sure you schedule in regular appointments with your stylist for Gloss treatments that will keep your style looking shiny and healthy.
