Ways to tie up short hair
There are ways to tie up short hair without sacrificing femininity! This year, tomboy cuts and bobs are a huge hit. But these two haircuts can’t always be worn up in the same way. Here are a few ideas for tying up short hair.
Unfortunately, with most short haircuts you can’t tie your hair back. “So there’s no point trying to create a ponytail or a chignon, it won’t work. However, you can use hair grips to tie it up and keep certain sections in place. To do this, place one of your hands on your head to smooth your hair down. Hold the hair grip between your index finger and thumb and secure your hair in place.”
It’s hard to create volume with short hair. “Volume can be created easily on long hair but it is difficult on short hair. Unless you have a bob. If you have a bob you can backcomb the hair on top and and tie up the top section.”
There are ways to hold short hair in place without tying it back. “Create different effects: slick your hair down, create a French twist… It all depends on how long your hair is really. If you have really short hair, play around with fixing gel!”
Our tip: Rather than tying up your hair, why not use a headband to keep it in place in style? The headband adds a bohemian and feminine touch to any style. Simply place it on your head and the job’s a good’un!
