The twisted chignon bun
We’ve not seen the last of the bun. Leading the hair trends for many seasons now, the bun is a firm favourite of some of the most dedicated fashionistas in search of trendy, easy-to-create styles. Here’s a new version!
The bun hype. When XXL buns appeared on the heads of fashionistas and celebs across the world, you might have doubted their long-term fashion potential. But you have to admit that this bun can be worn in so many different shapes and styles and has become a staple in your long list of bun trends.
How to create the twisted bun. This style is full-bodied, bohemian and stylish. Quick and easy to create, this will be your go-to bun when the summer heat strikes. Pulling your hair back shows off your face and makes it look slimmer. To make sure the style stays in place, try not to work on hair that’s too clean! Start by brushing your hair to make it nice and easy to work with. Now pull your hair back and create a high ponytail. Dampen the lengths of your ponytail slightly with a spray then cover in styling mousse to add texture and therefore more volume. Next, twist the lengths then wrap them around the base of your ponytail. Secure with bun pins. Finally, to tame any frizz, spray hairspray onto a comb and brush it gently across the top and sides of your head.
