Step-by-step tutorial: creating waves with plaits
Step 1: After washing your hair, apply a texturizing spray or mousse to the lengths which will add movement once you unravel your braid.
Step 2: Blow dry your locks so that your hair isn’t damp when creating your plait. You might think that sleeping on a wet braid will save you some time but these waves need heat, so make sure to blast on a hot setting!
Step 3: Only when your hair is 99% dry can you finally start braiding. Your hair should retain movement once unravelled, thanks to the mousse applied at the beginning. To nail this catwalk look, braid from the mid-lengths down to the ends.
Step 4: You can wear your braid all day for a casual look, then unleash your beautiful waves come evening. What better way to create natural-looking waves this season?
