How to create the braided ponytail
Spotted on the most exclusive catwalks, the braided ponytail is one of this summer’s key hairstyles. Easy to create for a guaranteed boho chic effect, this hairstyle is set to become the signature style of some of the most stylish sisters around! A little reminder: the longer your hair, the better your braid will be. Choose this trend if you have shoulder length hair for a successful result.
Here’s our step-by-step advice on how to create a braided ponytail.
Step 1:
Start by brushing your hair gently to get it as smooth as possible. Gather your hair together and tie into a high ponytail. Secure with a bungee band.
Step 2:
Separate your hair into three sections to form the three strands of your braid. Guide the left-hand strand to the right so that it overlaps the middle strand. Do the same with the strand on the right. Only the middle strand remains still.
Step 3:
Repeat these steps until you reach the ends and secure with a bungee band that matches the one used at the base of the ponytail.
Step 4:
For optimum hold, spray a generous layer of hairspray across your whole style.
