Here’s our step-by-step guide to creating a messy ponytail
 
Step 1:
 
Create your centre parting and keep one section to the side. Then create a low ponytail. You will use the section you kept to one side to hide your hair band. Roll it around the hair band and secure with a hair grip, which you can hide in your hair.
 
Step 2:
 
Leave two pieces of hair loose around your face to give your style that messy feel. If you have straight hair, create a wavy effect using curling tongs.
 
Step 3:
 
Scrunch up or backcomb your lengths for a romantic touch. Finish with a layer of hairspray.
