Hairstyle

Create a rock-chick quiff

Step 1 :

Draw the hair from the crown of your head from the roots into a rectangular shape. This section of hair is going to form the quiff when the look is finished. It’s up to you to decide how much hair to keep aside for the quiff, depending on whether you want it big or small. Separate this section from the rest of your hair

Step 2 :

Tie up the rest of your hair in a low ponytail so that it remains separated from the quiff section.

Step 3 :

Have a comb at hand to backcomb the top section of the hair which was sectioned off at the beginning. Once you have finished backcombing, spray this part of your hair with hairspray so that it stays put. You can either fix your quiff with the help of a few bobby pins, or leave it loose so that it flows into the rest of your hair.

Step 4 :

To finish the look, you can tie up the rest of your hair into a ponytail, a top-knot or leave the rest of your hair loose depending on how you want your rock-chick quiff to look.  Try copying the quiffs seen on the Etro catwalk (above), which were styled with super-straight hair kept loose. Others prefer to tie up the hair into one ponytail. It depends on your style and look in general !
