Hairstyle

A closer look at the messy boyish crop

It’s not just on the fashion runways that you’ll spot messy, unstructured looks. Hairstyles can also work this new trend. Mid-length and long hair types haven’t yet been influenced by this look, however the boyish crop looks great paired with the messy effect and varied textures. This summer, unstructured locks are the way to go!

Just a few seasons back, boyish crops were pretty much a conventional style. Wearing hair that was just as short as guys’ was daring enough on its own! Today, however, things have changed. The boyish crop is becoming much more adventurous thanks to longer lengths at the front which skim the eyes, similar to the styles spotted on the Guy Laroche runway pictured. This rebel-inspired look instantly adds character, without losing any of its femininity.

Head to your salon to discuss your transformation with your stylist. Depending on your hair type, they will be able to advise you on the best length. Want to copy the catwalk look? This style is best suited to women with soft, naturally straight hair so that you don’t need to straighten your locks every single day. Here, one side of the style is much shorter than the opposite side, creating an original asymmetric effect.
