The XXL quiff

The quiff has been strutting its stuff for a few seasons now. It adds originality to any style and is quick and easy to do. It’d almost be rude not to wear it! Today the quiff comes in a number of different versions for trendy, customised hairstyles. Here’s a closer look.

The XXL quiff for a rock-chick style. The quiff allows you to add movement and volume to the front section of your hair. It’s a great way of customising your ‘do for an-ultra stylish result. If you’re more of a rock-chick, wear yours full of volume and slightly dishevelled. A quiff with too much structure and too much precision will result in a more retro quiff. For a rock-chick look you need to work the rock ‘n’ roll vibe to boost this otherwise classic style.

Create the XXL quiff. Start by giving your hair some texture by applying a styling mousse to wet hair, a particularly important step if you have fine hair. Blow-dry then take a wide section of hair, which you will use to create your quiff. Leave the rest of your hair down. Try not to straighten your hair too much or create well-defined curls. For a rock ‘n’ roll vibe, leave your hair natural or go wavy. Now start working on your quiff by backcombing with a comb. This will make it last longer! Finally, pull it back without smoothing it down too much to maintain this rebellious, dishevelled effect. Fix in place using hair grips the same colour as your hair.
