Hairstyle
Step-by-step tutorial to 2014’s summer faux-bob
Step 1: Make sure your style has staying power by creating this look with hair that isn’t squeaky clean; second-day hair is perfect. Part your hair to one side. Don’t bother styling your locks and instead leave them natural so that they are soft.
Step 2: Gather hair up into a ponytail, lower down than usual. Position your hair tie as close to the ends of your ponytail as possible, then roll your ponytail inwards in an upwards direction.
Step 3: Once you have rolled all of the lengths upwards, relax the hair around the forehead area so that body and movement is created. Try to avoid creating a severe look that is tight and allow a few strands to come loose for a more natural finish.
Step 4: Secure your hair into place using bobby pins that tone with your hair, tucking inside your hairstyle as you go. Give your style a long-lasting hold with a finishing layer of hairspray.
