Step-by-step tutorial: the partial wet-look
Summer 2014 is making way for a whole host of new, upcoming hairstyles. The just-stepped-out-of-the-ocean look is gaining followers and is especially popular for women in search of a unique style. This season, the partial wet-look is going to be a huge trend. Only your mid-lengths and ends should be left natural. Follow our simple tutorial to creating this summer-inspired look, step-by-step.
Step 1: Once you have washed your hair, create a low-lying parting on the side of your choice. Leave hair to dry naturally to create movement in the lengths.
Step 2: Depending on how long you want your wet-look to last, opt for a fixing product with a high-shine finish. First, start with Fiber gel, to create a strong hold, then add shine with Shine Spray for a glossy end-result. Apply no more than a nut-sized amount of each of these products for a non-greasy look.
Step 3: Pay close attention when applying your product. It shouldn’t pass your mid-lengths. Bring gel down to around ear-level to perfectly re-create the look. Show off your look further by pushing hair back behind the ears for optimum results.
Step 4: Pull the front sections of your style back behind the ears. For a long-lasting finish, add some bobby pins to keep hair off your face. And there you have it…the perfect, on-trend partial wet-look!
