Julie, 30: “I love big volume chignons!”
Your look? If I listened to what my mum says, I would have to say it’s eccentric. I’ve always loved mixing and matching items or colours which you wouldn’t think would go together at first. It’s not always a look my mum appreciates. But for me the most important thing is to feel good in what you’re wearing! After a few attempts, I always manage to find the right mix.
Your hairstyle? It’s not quite long enough for me yet, but I wouldn’t say it’s mid-length either. Let’s say somewhere in-between! It is long enough to create some pretty up-dos such as chignons, braids and ponytails. My only issue is frizz. I can’t seem to get rid of it. I try my hardest to tame it, but it always ends up coming back. So I use and abuse anti-frizz serums to keep it under wraps during the day!
Your look today? I’ve tried out a chignon bun. Now that my hair is long enough, I just can’t get enough. I backcomb the front of my hair slightly to add volume and then create the chignon. I gather my hair into a ponytail, which I then slide into a sock, having cut the end off and folded it over on itself. Then I cover it with my hair, which I pin in place inside the chignon with hair pins.
