I want to remove bulk from my style: good or bad idea?
Is your thick hair driving your crazy? Looking for a quick fix? Our pro reveals all. If you’re sick and tired of having thick hair, it could be time to change your style.
‘You need to find the right balance. Some subtle layers could lift the weight off your shoulders and remove bulk. However, if you add too many layers to the inner part of your style, you could create the opposite effect.
Although your ends may feel lightweight and airy, you could end up with more volume as the shorter length will bulk outwards
Another option is to try using styling products to deliberately weigh down your style and make it appear flatter. ‘Gel is perfect for reducing bulk. Heat a walnut-sized amount of Design Gel between the palms of your hands and apply to damp hair. Allow to air dry and you’ll instantly notice the difference in volume. If that doesn’t work, the occasional blow-dry should sort out any unruliness’.
Our advice: If your hair is both straight and thick, opt for a wispy style that is lightweight. On the other hand, a short bob is ideal if you have curly locks. Want to keep the longer length? No problem, simply take it easy on the layers. Finally, have you ever considered going for a short style? Make things easier and opt for an on-trend crop!
