Hairstyle of the week: short, backcombed locks
Make like the models on the Daks Spring-Summer 2015 runway at Paris Fashion Week and jazz up your short lengths. On the runway, hair was styled thanks to some major backcombing action. Let’s take a closer look at our spring hair inspiration.
Why you’ll love the look. This style is a great change from your regular short hair styles. Although the structured boyish crop and slicked back short styles are still on trend, a backcombed effect adds character and a unique touch to your look. Not only that, this texturized finish will instantly create a rock-n-roll feel. What’s more, the hairstyle opens up the wearer’s face, drawing all of the attention to your make-up, jewellery and other accessories. And the best bit? Short backcombed locks are perfect for any occasion!
Get the runway style. Start by washing hair with Express Therapy Shampoo to deeply nourish your locks in just a few minutes. Dry and de-tangle with your hairbrush. Next, apply Texture Powder to the roots to add some body and volume as well as creating a firmer hold. Slick back your side sections with a walnut-sized amount of gel before moving onto the top. To backcomb, comb down towards your roots then mold into a quiff shape. Create a long-lasting hold with a layer of hairspray and voila! Your new go-to look for spring-summer!
