A closer look at white blonde
When you hear people talk about white blonde you immediately think of the colour of a sheet of paper or the colour of your grandma’s hair. Well, you’re a long way off. White blonde doesn’t mean literally white hair, but a bright, cold blonde colour. We have no doubt you’re going to fall in love with this trend!
The white blonde trend. Golden blonde has been a firm favourite for quite some time. But every trend goes out of fashion at some point. And so white blonde has arrived on the scene, reminding of us of the natural hair colour of the women of Scandinavia. Calm, laid-back countries. At a time when everyone’s under stress, it’ll do us all a world of good to try out this Norwegian style!
Who should go for it? White blonde with cold, almost iridescent undertones, works best on fair or medium blonde bases. If you have dark hair, forget it. For one of two reasons: either because you simply won’t be able to achieve this colour, or because it will make your hair a lot more fragile. There’s no point damaging gorgeous, healthy hair. To achieve this white blonde, your hair has to be bleached, then brightened to cool down the colour.
Looking after your white blonde. This colour should be looked after in the same way as highlights, as it’s best to avoid uniform shades and instead go for a more subtle highlighting effect. Visit your hairdresser once every 4 months to have your roots done. No more. At home, use products designed for blonde hair in order to keep your white blonde looking nice and bright. Once a month, apply a shampoo for white hair or a treatment to get rid of brassy tones to leave your hair looking bright and radiant.
