Hairstyle
A closer look at the oversized loose chignon
The statement chignon has been an extremely popular hairstyle over the past few seasons, and is traditionally positioned on top of the head. That was until we saw the Temperly London runway where chignons were worn in their traditional voluminous form, however at the back of the head. We’re loving this new take on an old classic!
Both original and elegant-looking, the Temperly London chignons were made for special occasions. Wear yours to a wedding, posh dinner party or a night out with friends for a look that nobody else will have thought of. Our top tip for creating this look is that locks need to be super straight, whether your hair is naturally smooth or you need to use the straighteners.
Start by parting hair from one ear to the other, using this upper section as your starting point. Create two separate ponytails with these two sections. Spritz Shine Spray throughout to add a glossy sheen to your lengths. Weave both ponytails together to create a soft oval shape similar to the ones worn on the catwalk (pictured). Secure with bobby pins and complete your look with an even layer of hairspray for a long-lasting hold.
This hairstyle is the perfect solution if you’re looking for an original style that is both elegant and modern.
