3 must-haves for taming ponytail flyaways

The ponytail is a look that never dates. For winter 2014 the ponytail is being worn high up top and sleeked back to perfection, meaning frizzy flyaways are a big no-no! So, how can you tame these rogue hairs that appear around the roots? Discover the top 3 must-have products to smooth down your look.

A hydrating shampoo. Frizzy baby hairs around the roots are generally associated with dry hair. You should try to keep your locks hydrated with a specifically adapted shampoo. Why not give Hydration & Suppleness shampoo a try? Its intensive hydrating formula prevents dryness so that hair remains shiny, soft and left with a refreshing scent. Repaired and hydrated, flyaways are considerably reduced.

A serum. Although it’s almost impossible to banish flyaways altogether, you can cut down on the amount, as well as hiding them from sight. Nutri Serum is ideal for daily use. Not only does it hydrate hair around the roots, it also helps keep your style in shape. Ideally, apply to damp hair before styling. Distribute evenly to avoid any greasiness or stiffness.

A hairspray. If gels and other wax-based products aren’t your thing (they can dry out and weigh down hair), hairspray is your next best option. However, don’t go overboard! Use sparingly and only when needed. For optimum results, spray Fix Ultime onto a comb, then pull through the hair just before styling a ponytail to minimise the appearance of flyaways.
