Which hairstyles from 2013 are still hot for 2014?
Last year you discovered the bob, side hair and learnt how to create the perfect chignon updo. Great…but it’s 2014 now! Luckily you don’t need to re-write the style bible just yet, as some trends from last year will still be hot this 2014. Read on to find out which styles will still be on-trend this year.
The wet look. Whether you work this trend on loose, tied up hair or even a high ponytail, the wet look will see you through 2014 with style. What better way to create an elegant, refined hairstyle. The golden rule? Don’t go overboard with your styling gel. You want this look to shine, not as if you haven’t washed your hair for weeks.
The bob. This is the look that everyone was copying last year. It reminds us of our youth, and is super-easy to wear day-to-day. To sum it up, the bob is THE perfect style. Whether you’re a working inner-city girl, or more of a bohemian chick, the bob can work wonders for everyone. Wear with a fringe or loose strands of hair at the front of the face, to perfect your look.
The messy chignon. Worn at the base of the neck, the messy chignon perfectly compliments a side fringe and loose strands. This look is ultra feminine and has a chic bohemian vibe, whilst being one of the easiest styles to create. You don’t even need to prep your hair before making your updo. What’s not to love?
Uber straight locks. For a few seasons last year, you decided to leave your hair au natural, but now it’s long straight locks that are on-trend. Of course, how well this style works for you all depends on the quality of your hair. Make sure you use a heat-defence spray on the lengths of your hair to protect it from any damage from your straighteners.
Side-hair. Similar to the wet look, side hair was a trend that you loved wearing last year for evening parties, and is set to be one of 2014’s hottest looks. Side hair can be worn on loose hair, a bun and even a plait. This look is set to stay for 2014 thanks to its endless variations and styling possibilities.
