Streetstyle: Wearing a beanie with your long hair
The hairstyle: Brunette hair which is straight looks fantastic under large hats. This allows you to cover your roots whilst leaving the rest of your hair free to breathe. However, avoid hats that are too tight around the head at all costs. The hair shaft needs continuous air flow and your hair will look visibly worse-for-wear once you take your hat off. As well as being sophisticated, this straight long hairstyle gives your look an urban touch. To ensure that your hair doesn’t go flat, become greasy at the roots or have static charge, apply a light serum daily. Hairspray works great as well.
The look: This is a modern and feminine look. Your style should incorporate both darker colours and pastel shades. Skinny-fit grey jeans, high heeled boots and a classy handbag bring a touch of femininity to your look. Add to this an oversized shirt and leather jacket. The extra touch is the large hat, which keeps you warm without sacrificing style.
Tip of the day: During winter, to stop roots getting greasy, you need to take up a hair-care routine. Try using shampoo for greasy roots and dry ends but alternate with a nourishing shampoo every few days.
