[STEP BY STEP] Retro Hairstyles from the Sonia Rykiel Fashion Show.
Loose curls were given pride of place at the Sonia Rykiel Spring-Summer 2016 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. Due to this hairstyle, the models showed off a highly sophisticated look. You can also learn how to create it for a delightfully retro appearance.
Step 1: prepare your hair
Wash your hair with Moisture and Lightness shampoo from the Oil Therapy range. Your objective: deeply hydrate your hair by giving it maximum shine. After having wrung out your hair, apply styling mousse. Dry your hair then untangle it carefully using a rounded brush (preferably a boar bristle hair brush). Then mark out a clear middle parting. There you go, you are ready to start!
Step 2: curl your hair
Waves are quite simply loose curls. Two techniques are available to you to create them. Firstly, rollers: choose hair accessories with a large diameter to obtain large floaty curls. Take thick strands before rolling them one by one and holding them in place with pins. Heat them up for 10 minutes using a hair dryer to fix the curls, take out the rollers carefully and then loosen your curls using your fingers. Second option: the curling iron! Once the work is done, carefully brush your curls to obtain the desired wavy effect.
Step 3: fix the hairstyle
Brush all of your hair by plastering it onto your head, then place it behind your ears. Then heat up a small amount of Design Gel between your hands, before applying it to your roots. Leave your curls as they are from half way down. To finish, spray on hairspray for maximum hold.
