Show off your mid-length locks with a centre parting and wavy lengths
Not sure how to show off your mid-length locks to their best? This season, why not re-create the look spotted on the Blumarine autumn-winter 2014-2015 runway show at Milan Fashion Week? You’re guaranteed to love the end result!
The trend. Wavy lengths were spotted being paired with a long fringe and centre parting. The mix of styles makes this look original whilst remaining sophisticated. Waves were soft and natural. A must have for this look? Copper highlights…big news for this season!
Who can wear the centre parting and wavy lengths? This cut was made for those who want a light and airy look whilst adding a soft, delicate touch to their outfit. The centre parting and wavy lengths combo looks just as good paired with a casual outfit as it does an elegant evening dress.
Get the runway look. If your hair is naturally straight, you already have a head start. If, however, your locks are naturally curly or frizzy, you’ll need to use the straighteners for top results. Next, take a medium-sized section of hair and wrap around the barrel of your curling tong. Start from the ends and roll upwards towards the roots, then release. Repeat the process all around your head. After creating your curls, use your fingertips to break up any pieces that have clumped together and create a more texturized finish…you should be aiming for as natural a look as possible. You’ll then need to create a neat centre parting and sweep your bangs to either side. Our top tip? If you don’t have any bangs, simply use the side sections of your style instead. Finally, make sure your waves stay in place all day long with the help of hairspray. And voila! You’re now ready to hit the town!
