Hairstyle

My hairstyle for a job interview

When meeting a potential future employer, remember that first impressions are everything. So make them good, both in terms of attitude and style! The message must speak loud and clear: I am competent and well-presented!

So forget tousled, messy-look styles and, at the opposite end of the scale, anything that looks too sophisticated and unnatural. It’s all about balance. If you have long hair, stick to ponytails, chignons (but not too strict) or half-ponytails, as seen at Zuhair. In other words, chic and casual at the same time.

To create this style, start by applying an anti-frizz serum to damp hair. Then blow-dry your hair or leave it to dry naturally, working your fingers through as you go. Next, create a centre-parting. Take two pieces of hair from the front of your head and pull them back. To get a nice slick effect, use a gel, but use sparingly. Greasy hair is the last thing you want in an interview! Secure your half-ponytail in place using a hair grip or hair slide. Leave the rest of your hair down, gently tousled but disciplined.
