Long-lasting New Year’s eve hairstyles
Most of us plan ahead when it comes to new year’s eve and one thing’s for sure…whether your attending a party of 30 or 4, you’re going to want to stand out with a chic, unique hairstyle. The pros recommend the best hairstyles for this new year’s eve.
You need to adapt your new year’s eve hairstyle to what you’ll be doing on the evening. ‘Obviously, try to create something a bit special that you wouldn’t wear every day, but if you’re spending the evening in with a couple of friends, you don’t need to make as much of an effort as you would if you’re going to a big new year’s eve party.’
You can create chic original hairstyles regardless of the length of your hair. ‘Don’t think that just because you have short hair you can’t style your hair. In fact, a boyish crop or a bob can be personalised with hair accessories or waves. Anything is possible!’
Bobs and mid-length hair can create amazing hairstyles for new year’s eve parties. Try a braided headband on mid-length hair, a quiff for short hair, or curls if you have naturally straight hair and vice-versa! And every hairstyle will hold if you give it a good once-over with the hairspray once you’ve finished your style. An alternative is to use strong hold styling products before you create the style.’
Long hair has the most options available for new year’s eve styles. ‘ To ensure your hairstyle doesn’t fall out mid-party, try out a ponytail, hiding the hair tie with your hair. Once you’ve made the ponytail, secure it with a hair tie. Next, take a large section of hair and wrap it around the elastic. Ramp up the glamour by curling the ends of your ponytail.’
Our tip: Everyone wants to be the belle of the ball and most glamourous woman in the room on new year’s eve. Yet this isn’t always possible, so don’t try anything you know won’t work on your hair. Choose your new year’s hairstyle based on the type of haircut you have already. Don’t try and create a braided headband on a boyish crop for example!
