Hats to match your style

Hats are the ideal accessory when it comes to structuring a hairstyle. They can also be worn to boost your style, whatever that may be. Here’s a look at what hats to choose to suit your look.

Glam’rock style. Those who like to don this look often stick to trademark rock ‘n’ roll pieces. While they love to wear garments that bring out their rebellious side, they also enjoy reinventing wardrobe pieces for a touch of sophistication and elegance. This style allows you to play around with accessories, especially hats. In summer, the panama is a great addition to wavy styles. As autumn approaches, go for a trilby, this hat offers both warmth and style.

Bohemian style. Elegance and nonchalance are keywords when it comes to the bohemian wardrobe. Often inspired by hippie clothes, followers of this trend also wear a lot of accessories. As well as the headband, the wide-brimmed hat is a popular choice for bohemian fashionistas. As for hairstyles, they’re not worth worrying about. Whatever your haircut, leave your hair loose and natural. Some boho fans like to be a bit more daring and wear a beret. A side braid or a messy chignon are perfect styles to wear with this hat.

Retro style. A retro style requires a foolproof combination of elegant and feminine items. Waisted belts, coloured court shoes and cloche hats are pre-requisites to doing this look justice. The cloche hat was a huge hit in the 20s and sits perfectly on short styles, both straight and curly. To pay tribute to the Roaring Twenties, choose a colourful version of this hat to fuse modern and classic influences.
