Hair dilemma: I want a fuss-free fringe that is easy-to-maintain
The fringe is a timeless look if you’re in search of an on-trend and stylish cut. The tricky part, you ask? Finding the right version for your style that is simple to style and maintain on a daily basis. The pros reveal their top tips to choosing the perfect fringe.
If you’re looking for a fringe that is simple to style each morning, you’ll need to identify your individual hair type. “Although cowlicks are notoriously difficult to work with, you can go ahead with a fringe providing you work around this area. The texture of your locks is just as important. If your hair is curly, you’ll only be able to wear your fringe if you straighten it and keep it under control”
If you don’t mind spending a bit more time on your fringe, there are a few more options available to you. “Opt for something structured, like a mini fringe or a graphic version. Anything is possible! Simply keep in mind that you will need to spend more time taming your fringe each morning to keep it looking in top condition”.
This season’s most popular fringe style is the 70s inspired look. “Wear your fringe long, lightly skimming your eyes. The edges should be rounded slightly for high-impact. However, this fringe will need regular salon appointments and frequent trims to keep the shape looking neat and tidy”.
One of the easiest to style fringes has to be one which falls into place naturally. “Depending on your hair type and your stylist’s advice, you may be lucky enough to be blessed with a fringe which forms naturally after washing and drying”.
Our advice: The mini-fringe is an extremely popular look for winter this year but is best suited to women with naturally straight locks without the dreaded cowlick!
