Coloured highlights
Last season we saw a surge in fluorescent pink and turquoise hair. This season, bright colours are on the scene, but this time a bit more understated!
The bright hair trend. Changing your hair colour to go blond, brown or copper is already a daring step. But changing to fluorescent pink, yellow or green is something else entirely! Most of you love these colours during the summer season. Bright tones are a great way to stand out, enjoy the sun and scream colour! For the more retiring amongst you, colours can be worn in simple hints, like at Oscar de la Renta’s spring-summer 2013 show where coloured highlights were scattered here and there throughout the hair.
How to wear coloured highlights. At Oscar de la Renta, the show was characterised by chic, elegant looks. Very well-to-do. In terms of hairstyles, we saw up-dos full of volume in the form of French twists. To break away from this rigid look, pink and blue highlights were distributed throughout the hair. To make things easy for you, use coloured hair extensions. These are easy to put in and remove. Even the most fainthearted can try it out for one night! Apply your extensions to dry, straightened hair. Then create your French twist.
