The Graphic Eighties haircut

For this Spring-Summer season, Jean Louis David is going with the asymmetrical short haircut. It reveals the nape of the neck, has a side-swept front section and is enhanced by subtle highlights.

The haircut

Structured by a large front section, this short asymmetrical haircut is highly layered. The hair around the nape of the neck is finely thinned out to add softness and femininity to this clear-cut haircut.

The exclusive technique

The Graphic eighties cut can be enhanced by a Gloss treatment, a subtle tone-on-tone colouring technique which boosts the hair's shine and catches the light at the ends of the strands.

The five variations of the Graphic eighties style

- The short clear-cut look
- The ultra-smooth style with a side-swept front section
- The unstructured look
- The quiff-like front section
- The pixie crop style

To get this ultra-smooth finish, the hair is blow-dry styled with a flat brush. The hair dryer should follow the movement of the brush, starting at the roots and pulling down on the hair until it reaches the tips. The front section is then tucked behind one ear.

For this version, the clear-cut aspect is accentuated by unstructured styling, giving the haircut more of a rock chick look. The strands are sculpted one by one with Density Paste , and they frame the face for a de-styled effect.

The exclusive Dry Set Volume technique gives this version a feminine look by lifting the hair at the roots and adding volume on top. The result: a soft quiff for a devastatingly charming style.
