The best-kept secrets for taming frizzy hair

Struggling to manage your naturally frizz-prone locks? Luckily for you, our pros are about to set the record straight meaning you can make the most of your style this season.

One of the most important things to consider is using the correct haircare products. ‘This hair type is dry by nature and in some cases extremely dry. Because the hair fibers are more fragile, they tend to be dehydrated and become damaged much more easily than other hair types. One way to combat this is to deeply nourish your locks. A must-have for women with dry hair are products rich in keratin which are the perfect way to strengthen and fortify simultaneously’.

Another top tip is to avoid using tools which will further dry out your hair. ‘Heated appliances should be kept to a bare minimum, yet this doesn’t mean that you can’t straighten your style from time to time. If using straighteners on your style takes a lot of time and effort, ask a friend to help out and don’t forget to apply a heat-protective spray before starting!’

Our advice: Ideally, you should allow your hair to air-dry after shampooing. What’s more, never go to bed with damp hair as your curls will become crushed and are unlikely to spring back to life once you wake up in the morning. The best alternative to full-on heat? Opt for a diffuser attachment which disperses heat more evenly.
