Streetstyle: the turban to keep you looking warm and stylish

Her look? Once winter arrives it’s animal fur and animal skin aplenty. Not only is it cosy and warm, it’s ultra-stylish too. If you’re too much of an animal lover to go the whole hog, why not try faux-fur or sheepskin. Here, our fashionista has opted for an ultra-stylish sleeveless jacket. She keeps the rest of her look toned down in all-black.

Her hairstyle? This gorgeous girl has opted for thin, African braids as a simple way of taming her long, frizzy hair. Here she’s decided to go for glam with a one-shoulder style which has been spotted all over the catwalks. She has accessorised her hairstyle with an uber-retro turban for a warm and trendy look. It might not be made from wool, but it still covers her head!

Tip of the day. As afro hair tends to be drier than other hair types, it tends to cope better with hats and other accessories. People with fine or greasy hair may be left with greasy roots when they take them off. Another good thing about the African braid is that hair doesn’t look dull when the hat or accessory is removed. If this is not the case for your hair, restore texture using a styling product.
