Streetstyle: The sweatband for a casual look
Her look? A folky look that blends casual with country chic. Denim shirts, wax-finish jeans and trousers, tassels, long skirts and loose-fit jumpers are the wardrobe basics of this folky fashionista. We love this look for its trendy, laid-back feel.
Her hairstyle? Our streetstyle of the day has fine hair, but that doesn’t stop her sporting supple, harmonious hair. And if her hair lacks volume at the roots, we’re none the wiser as she hides it by slicking her hair down and pulling it back with her sweatband. A classic elastic headband, a simple way of boosting hair that lacks oomph.
Tip of the day. To stop your hair looking lifeless, make use of some trusty backcombing. This makes the most of fine hair that lacks volume. To do this, take a comb and work underneath the hair, pulling your hair back towards the roots. For this style, gently backcomb the roots at the top of your head only. The backcombing should be as subtle as possible for a natural result.
