Springtime hair accessories

Headbands, sweatbands, hair jewellery or even flowers, there is no lack of hair related accessories this springtime! Which will you go for? And how should you wear them? We reveal all.

Headband. The headband works like an elastic band. It is an accessory which can easily adapt to all types of hair, thick and thin, straight and curly. If you find that it doesn’t always stay in place, use a grip or hairpin to stretch the headband a little more and fix it to your hair. For a more romantic look, use it as a hairband by interweaving your hair with the band. Lightly backcomb the strands on top to bring a little more volume and place the headband on the inside.

Sweatband. The chick sporty look is in this season, on the street as well as in your wardrobe. To make the most of this trend, try (or revisit) the sweatband! Keep the spirit of sport without going for the total look. The accessory is the large and flat band, avoiding the sponge band which is more likely to be found in the gym. Choose one with a coloured tint and place it on your hairline. Put the rest of your hair in a ponytail or bun, or just leave it loose, straightened or wavy.

Hair jewellery. Diamante, pearls, flowers…there are several accessories that you can nest in your hair, giving you a lot of room for customization. For everyday use, particularly when going to work, go for discreet accessories which are easy to wear to brighten up a ponytail or bun. For a special occasion, don’t be afraid to go for something bigger and brighter for an ultimate effect!
