Spotted on the catwalks: the bleached afro
Spotted on the Mark Fast catwalk in London, the bleached afro is making its way to the top. Think back to the 1980s and its disco days and put some colour in your hair this summer!
On the catwalk, the bleached afro is trapeze-shaped and parting-less. Hair is full of volume on top to draw attention to the hairstyle’s 80s influence. The 80s were awash with huge hair and often original colours. Mark Fast got inspiration for his hairstyles from the mindset of this decade.
Think the bleached afro is the hairstyle for you? Great, but just be careful with your hair. Afro hair is very resistant and fairly dry, and therefore requires special care. Bleaching can be pretty harmful on this type of hair. If you’re still tempted, visit your salon and ask your hairdresser’s advice.
