Runway to reality: the mini fringe
Hairstyles which incorporate fringes are timeless and never go out of style. Whether you wear yours layered, to one side or chunky, there’s a fringe out there for everyone. This season brought a newcomer to the scene; the mini fringe. So, will this edgy fringe make it from runway to reality? Let’s find out.
The mini fringe spotted on the catwalk. Nobody was more surprised than us to spot the mini fringe at the Miu Miu runway show. Models were styled with an avant-garde mini-fringe, regardless of their hair length. This super short version hits the centre of the forehead and was far from being neat and tidy.
How to wear day-to-day. Although fringes seem to be making a huge comeback this season, the mini fringe is much more difficult to pull off. If you’re not one to fuss over your hair each morning, you’re better sticking with a classic style that is simple to maintain each morning. This fringe is so short that we’re not entirely sure how you would go about styling it! This risky look is more suited to women who aren’t afraid of being bold and making a statement. It’s all or nothing!
Get the runway look. If you’re confident enough to wear this look every day, then this look was made for you. Others however should stick to a longer version. The major disadvantage with the mini-fringe is that you’re limited to how you can style your locks due to its super-short length. Whether your hair is long or short, the main thing this season is to be spotted with a fringe…which means it’s completely up to you to decide whether to take the plunge with the mini fringe or opt for a curtain version which will be much more practical long-term.
