Printed hair

Spring-summer 2014 still has lots of hairstyle surprises in store yet. Thought you’d seen it all after animal print hair was spotted on the catwalk? Think again. This season’s new hot trend is exotic holiday destinations printed onto hair. Whoever said you couldn’t wear palm trees in you hair? Certainly not us!

The trend. Although we’re now well into march, our summer holidays still seem a long way off. And whilst we can stare at holiday brochures longingly, it somehow doesn’t do the trick. What you need to get in the holiday mood is to add a beach vibe to your style, literally. Hawaiian shirts simply won’t cut it and should stay at the back of your wardrobe. This season calls for something more unique; printed hair. A print reminiscent of your next holiday destination perhaps…

Who can pull printed hair. Anyone who wants to try out a print but isn’t interested in animal print hair. If you’re not afraid of being judged and can walk into work confidently, then this is the perfect look for you. Everyone else can daydream about their holidays…go one step further and wear yours!

How to wear the trend. Eccentric designer Emma Mulholland mixed holiday hair prints with flashy, neon outfits for her catwalk show recently. So why not take inspiration directly from her runway show? Hair prints enable you to add a touch of personality to any look. Opt for a stencil and temporary colour combo or try using clip in pieces, the choice is up to you. Arty hair is far from being over.
