Hair resolution no. 4: I will alternate between different shampoos
Start using heat-protector treatments. Check. Massage my scalp. Check. Have my ends trimmed regularly. Check. You’ve adopted so many great resolutions, so it would be a shame not to keep going! Our hair resolution no.4 is knowing how to put your shampoo to good use.
When you’ve finally found your dream shampoo, which does exactly what you need it to do, you’re not going to want to change it. But using the same shampoo all the time can often, in the end, can be ineffective. Your hair will always been clean, but the shampoo’s properties will have less of an effect on your hair over time. For example, if you always use the same shampoo for dry hair, your hair will end up getting used to it. The result is that this hair product, which worked wonders for your hair at the start, eventually stops working properly.
So try and alternate between two shampoos for a tailor-made treatment. You can buy shampoos to suit your hair type and your hair’s condition. That means you can mix and match between a shampoo for dry and fine hair and for dry and long hair, for example. Or for curly, damaged hair or curly, blonde hair. Choose your shampoos to suit your hair’s needs at the time.
