Hairstyle

Create a stylish top-knot chignon

Step 1: Once you have washed your hair, apply a heat-protective spray to prevent your hair from being damaged. Then, use a hairdryer to dry the hair.

Step 2: When the hair is dry, create a high ponytail. Secure with a hair tie to hold your hair in place.

Step 3: This step is all about styling the look in your preferred version of the style. Want it straight? Use hair straighteners on the ends of the hair to create a sleek look. Or if you prefer an undone, messy look, simply blow dry the hair.

Step 4: Before creating the top knot, why not opt for a styling donught the same shade as your hair colour? This will make your top knot more volumous. Feed your ponytail through the donught, then roll your hair up and around it, moving the donught upwards towards your roots.

Step 5: If you’re going for an understated, messy look, try teasing out a few whisps of hair to give an edgy vibe to the style.

Step 6: Have a few bobby pins handy to clip any sections of hair that fall out of the donught. To finish, spray all over with hairspray to keep your style in place all day long.
