Zebra print hair spotted on the catwalk

Animal print hair has been a huge trend these last few seasons, but the spring-summer 2014 catwalks seem to have ditched this quirky style that was difficult for most people to pull off. That, however, was before we saw the Rodarte catwalk, which combined zebra print with hair to give the models an original look.

Having seen leopard print take over our wardrobes, and even hair in some cases, it’s about time that a new trend emerged. Not only has the print itself changed, but the way in which you style your hair to show off your new stripes. This time round, your print isn’t going to be all over your hair. For summer, zebra print will be subtle and classier than brash and bold. Whether you choose to wear your animal print on a few simple sections or strands of your hair, the look will be stylish and classy. Less is more. Try wearing your hair to the side, similar to the hairstyles spotted on the Rodarte runway.

To get the look, create a side parting after having washed your hair, then bring the lengths of your hair around to the opposite side, taking care to leave some volume at the root area. Once you have your hair on the side of your choice, lift up the top section of your hair and clip it back in the meantime. Take a stencil to create your temporary zebra stripes. Another option is to buy some clip-in pieces of hair that are already pre-dyed with the zebra pattern and ad into your natural hair. Once you have created your zebra print, you can decide on which style will best show off your new print. At work, make sure you cover up your new look and then show it off come night time by wearing your hair in a style that shows off your zebra print.
