Men
Which men’s hairstyles are hot for Spring-Summer 2014?
Short hairstyles are where it’s at this summer at the Jean Louis David salons. However, short hair isn’t the only on-trend style for the next few months to come. Let’s take a closer look at this season’s biggest looks.
Jean Louis David is loving short, triangular styles right now. ‘This look is inspired by 80s hair trends. Hair is cut asymmetrically into a short style which can then be styled up using a strong hold fixing product’.
This season, there are going to be several different trendy styles for summer. ‘All sorts of styles are going to be big this season, ranging from long on top and short underneath to a more unkempt look combining a 3-day beard with mid-length hair’.
This year, summer is all about short hair. ‘Most of these short styles are fairly similar, simply different variations. Super-short hair and even hair that you’re trying to grow longer can be styled into a shorter look. It’s important to remain true to your own unique style, and not copy the catwalk trends too much’.
To style short hair, you will need a quality styling gel. ‘Forget about waxes and other hair powders that give hair a matte effect. This summer, hair should look groomed and well-styled instead of messy’.
Our tip: Head down to your salon to ask for some professional advice. A stylist will be able to advise whether you can pull off one of this summer’s on-trend short looks. Be sure to go for a style that you like and will be easy to maintain and style each morning.
